“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other” – Audrey Hepburn.
The above quote perfectly mirrors the beautiful, inspiring eventful love and marital journey of Chief and Mrs Mike Ezesionwu in the last 25 years.

Of course, for couples closely knitted in love and compassion, amidst life’s challenges and uncertainties, the bonds they share provides strength, support, and a sense of belonging, highlighting the true essence of marriage-valuable, durable and enduring source of comfort and resilience. This is a brief summary of the quarter of a century union between Chief Ezesionwu and his delectable wife, Uju who turns 50.

They are two birds with the same feather. Two beans in a pod. Signs and its wonders- all rolled into one.
Is there a phrase for couples whose marriage anniversary fall in the same month? None that I know but it won’t be out of place to coin one to aptly describe two lovebirds of the love song who have been brought together by fate and love, and who will on Sunday, the 3rd of August 2025 sing love and birthday duet every at Villa Park Hotel, Festac Town, Lagos!
Call them August couple and you will not be wrong but the bottom line is that Chief Ezesionwu and his Achalaugo, Uju are one of the very few couples in the world whose birth month and marriage anniversary are in the same month!
So, for this amiable couple who are blessed with five wonderful children- three boys and two girls-August is the month of glory, and Thanksgiving to the Almighty God for the gift of life and for being on the driver’s seat of their marriage in the last quarter of a century.
Essentially, Chief Ezesionwu, a business mogul, is people-oriented, a friendly socialite and at the same time a staunch Catholic. He and his beautiful wife are amiable personalities who you can not but take a liking to at first encounter.
At a first encounter with the couple, what you see are two souls beating as one, at peace with themselves and with those around them.
As friends and associates gather, first at the Catholic Church of Vistation, Ist Avenue, Festac Town to join the celebrants to give glory to God for his abundant grace, mercy and love upon their lives and marriage, and later at the Villa Park Hotel to eat, drink and dance in celebration of mounemental marital milestone and birthday, there is no doubt that the universe will be standing still for them.
This is not an ordinary wedding Silver Jubilee, it is one wrapped in deep thankfulness to the Almighty. Obviously, the kindness of Mike and Uju’s souls shines through in everything that they do. They are simply an inspiration to many.
It’s difficult to find the words to accurately describe the incredible humans Chief Ezesionwu and his better half, Uju are as they continuously warm hearts every day with kindness and love that ooze from your hearts.
Today, friends of the Ezesionwus loudly say: You deserve nothing less than a blessed, wedding Silver jubilee anniversary and beautiful birthday!
