The crisis rocking the marriage between billionaire businessman and politician, Senator Ned Nwoko, and Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has taken a new turn as her mother, veteran actress Rita Daniels, publicly criticized the lawmaker over his handling of the situation.

In a viral video, Rita Daniels lambasted Nwoko, accusing him of tarnishing their family’s name despite the support they had given him in the past.
She said: “You wanted someone with a high star to boost your fallen star. If you think you can bite the finger that fed you, you’ll go down.
Regina gave you $50,000 to support your election. We are covering up your shame and making you feel like an Odogwu. You’re mad.”
Regina Daniels had recently alleged that the lawmaker ordered the arrest of her siblings in an attempt to compel her to return to him and undergo rehabilitation.
According to reports, the actress has moved out of her matrimonial home and now resides in a newly acquired mansion with her children.
Recall that the actress few weeks ago accused her husband of domestic violence.
However, responding to the allegations, Senator Ned Nwoko claimed that Regina is the violent one, denying any involvement in domestic abuse.
He said; “Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety.”
“The truth is, I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehab in Asokoro or outside Nigeria, especially Jordan, where she will not have access to drugs.”
“She is the violent one here, slapping and hitting staff in the past 48 hours and destroying cars and windows for no just cause.”
