Nigeria’s Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has denied rumours suggesting that he collapsed and was flown abroad for medical treatment.
Reacting to the claims, his Consultant on Communications and Strategy, Kenny Okolugbo, dismissed the report as false. Okolugbo described the allegation regarding Akpabio’s health as “a lie” and “fake news.”
The rumour began circulating on Monday following a report by an online news platform, which alleged that the Senate President collapsed and was flown to London on a private jet for treatment.
