Popular preacher and founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has stirred controversy following his fresh warning to Christians against buying Christmas clothes before paying their tithes.

The man of God described the practice as dangerous, cautioning members of his congregation against prioritising festive clothing over their tithing obligations.
Ibiyeomie issued the warning during a church sermon on Sunday in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
Addressing his congregation ahead of the festive season, the preacher said: “Year is ending, don’t buy Christmas clothes when you have not paid tithe. It’s dangerous. It’s very dangerous.”
