A court on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, ordered the remand of actress Doris Ogala at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre over allegations of cyberbullying, defamation and extortion involving Pastor Chris Okafor.

Ogala, 34, was arraigned before Justice Akintayo Aluko on a three-count charge. She pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
According to the prosecution, the charges stem from alleged social media posts and electronic communications in which Ogala reportedly made damaging claims about Pastor Okafor.
The prosecution alleged that between September 24, 2024, and March 2026, the defendant used her social media accounts to publish messages and intimate images allegedly involving the pastor, causing him emotional distress and reputational damage.
She was also accused of allegedly threatening to publish further damaging and intimate material unless Pastor Okafor compensated her financially or bought her a house.
The charges were brought under relevant provisions of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, as amended in 2024.
Following petitions from the complainant, law enforcement authorities reportedly investigated the allegations, leading to Ogala’s arraignment.
During the proceedings, the prosecution presented its allegations, while the defence challenged the application concerning bail. After hearing arguments from both sides, Justice Aluko ordered that Ogala be remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending further proceedings.
The court reportedly adjourned the matter to Friday, October 30, 2026, for further consideration of the bail application and ordered an accelerated hearing.
Before the proceedings began, Ogala allegedly caused a disturbance on the court premises, with reports indicating that she shouted during the encounter involving Justice Aluko. The incident was described as unacceptable conduct within the court environment.
The allegations against Ogala remain before the court, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
