Popular Nigerian broadcaster and Arise TV presenter, Rufai Oseni, has recently come under public scrutiny over his style of journalism and conduct towards guests during the station’s Morning Show programme.

Several guests have openly expressed dissatisfaction with Oseni’s interviewing style, with some going as far as describing him as “rude”. It is no longer news that the broadcaster has had confrontations with some of his guests.
However, one guest who appears particularly ready to take on Oseni is none other than former Edo State Governor, Senator Adams Oshiomhole.
The Arise TV Morning Show took a dramatic turn on Friday when Oshiomhole and Oseni engaged in a heated exchange during a recent interview.
The disagreement began when Oseni questioned Oshiomhole about the activities of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, and President Bola Tinubu’s recent trip to Saudi Arabia.
Oshiomhole appeared displeased with Oseni’s approach, accusing the presenter of asking multiple questions and interrupting him before he could respond.
The former governor said: “I won’t allow you to continue with this tradition of speak to yourself and answer yourself. You asked three questions and I will reply them. And you have no right to interrupt when I am replying.”
“Let’s agree on international best practices. You must have the patience to listen to my answer. And you must treat me as a guest with respect.”
“Rufai, I am very ready for you.”
Oshiomhole insisted that Oseni should allow him to respond to questions without interruptions, stressing that he deserved the respect accorded to a guest on the programme.
