Nollywood actor and rave of the moment, Uzor Arukwe, has taken a swipe at movie producers in the Nigerian film industry over their apparent obsession with his popular ‘Odogwu’ character.

According to the actor, producers are gradually boxing him into the character, insisting that they want to kill him with the role.

Arukwe made the revelation during a recent interview.

He said: “All the producers in Nollywood now want to kill me with Odogwu character. You can’t put me in a box.

“The same way someone took a chance on that character, you can also create another character and give to me.”
