The Nigerian film industry has once again been thrown into mourning following the death of one of its own.
Popular actress, Tope Osoba has reportedly died after a prolonged battle with breast cancer. She passed away at 40.
Her colleague, Foluke Daramola, announced the sad news in a post shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
Osoba first went public with her health struggle in 2024 when she appealed for financial assistance after undergoing her first breast cancer surgery.
At the time, Daramola revealed that the actress required a second surgery to remove the remaining cancerous tissue from her breast. The procedure was estimated to cost about ₦12 million.
