AGN Lagos Disowns Fake BOT, Caretaker Committee Claims

The Lagos State Chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has distanced itself from what it described as false claims and confusion surrounding the alleged appointment of fake members of the Board of Trustees (BOT) and a purported National Caretaker Committee.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of AGN Lagos, High Chief Ashiedu Songito Gabriel, the chapter made it clear that it is not aware of, nor involved in, any such “illegal arrangements.”

According to the statement, the Lagos chapter reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty and allegiance to the legitimate Board of Trustees led by Chief Emmanuel Ogugua and the National Executive Council (NEC) headed by Chief Emeka Rolas Ejezie (MON).

“Lagos completely disassociates itself from the ongoing confusion and false claims regarding the appointment of fake BOT members and a National Caretaker Committee,” the statement read.
“Our loyalty and allegiance remain firmly with the Board of Trustees led by Chief Emmanuel Ogugua and the National Executive Council under Chief Emeka Rolas Ejezie (MON).”

High Chief Gabriel further cautioned members against spreading misinformation or divisive statements on the guild’s official platforms. He warned that anyone found guilty of sharing fake news would face immediate suspension.

The statement emphasized the chapter’s commitment to unity, discipline, and the continued growth of the Actors Guild of Nigeria in Lagos and across the nation.
