In a significant move aimed at strengthening economic ties between Africa and the Middle East, Africa’s leading industrialist, Aliko Dangote, joined a high-level African Business Leaders Delegation in Dubai on December 6, 2025, for strategic engagements with top Emirati officials and global business icons.
The delegation was warmly received by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The meeting, held at the heart of Dubai’s leadership enclave, brought together influential voices shaping global commerce and development.
Seated prominently beside the Emirati leader were Aliko Dangote, celebrated for his transformative role in African industrialization, and Mr. Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richemont & Remgro and the Founder of the Rupert Education Foundation in South Africa.
