With over 25 years cross- sector experience, Mrs Hilda Nkor has not only come a long way as a high flyer, a career woman and a corporate Amazon but has also carved a niche for herself. Recently, a crown on her strides across different sectors of the economy spanning banking, health, corporate services etc came with her induction as a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
Nkor, a Sociology graduate of Abia state University, Absu and an alumnae of Lagos Business School, is the President of Lalegend, the Lagos branch of the Absu Alumni association.
A seasoned corporate governance expert, Mrs Nkor is the Principal Consultant and Chief Executive Officer of HNC professional services and the founding CEO of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN). She brings to bear on her corporate career a rare blend of strategic insight, boardroom expertise and execution excellence.
Armed with Bsc in Sociology and an MBA in Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability, Mrs Nkor is arguably one of Nigeria’s most trusted advisors in governance and leadership leadership development, designing and leading bespoke learning and capacity- building programmes for Board Chairmen, Directors, company secretaries, and Executive Management of over 35 organisations covering critical areas such as Board evaluation and effectiveness reviews, audit, remuneration and nomination committee training, Executive and non- Executive Induction Programmes, strategic retreats and corporate planning facilitations and ethics, compliance and performance systems.
In recognition of her flowery career trajectory, Mrs Nkor was in 2024 named as among the 100 Top Leading Women in Nigeria. Driven by unwavering belief in transformative power of ethical leadership and global best practices in corporate governance, Mrs Nkor currently serves an independent Non- Executive Director (INED) on the board of McNichols Consolidated PLC and Lancelot Fund & Portfolio Management Ltd where she contributes her robust expertise in governance, risk management, and strategic oversight.
Apart from the Nigerian Institute of Management, NIM, Mrs Nkor also belongs to a plethora of other professional bodies including Chartered Institute of Directors (CIoD).
