Afrobeats superstar, Davido has publicly criticised the President of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, over his reaction to the suspension of the union’s activities in Osun State.
Governor Ademola Adeleke recently suspended the operations of the NURTW at motor parks across Osun State following violent clashes between rival factions. He also directed security agencies to arrest anyone operating in the union’s name.
The suspension has affected the union’s collection of transport levies in the state.
Reacting to the development, MC Oluomo, through his deputy, Aliyu Issa Ore, argued that the Osun State Government has no authority to suspend the union.
He said: “Today, we heard that the state governor in Osun suspended the activities of our union, which they don’t have that power. Not a single state governor has power to suspend the activities of the union because we are not under any state.”
Davido, who is Governor Adeleke’s nephew, did not hold back in his response. Taking to his social media page, the singer mocked MC Oluomo’s statement and questioned his ability to express himself clearly.
He wrote: “MC Oluomo wey no fit compose sentence dey talk. Kudosuuuu.”
“@Akinmcoluomo dem say dey game… I doubt lol look ur mirror.”
