Popular Nigerian singer, 2Face Idibia has urged his fans and supporters to remain calm amid reports of a marital crisis with his wife, Natasha Osawaru.
2Face made the appeal in a video message shared on his Facebook page.
He said; “I know what fans can do, I know what people can do. I am perfectly okay. But this is putting Natasha at risk. It’s not fair to anyone. People will get their issues sorted at home, not today. Please, I beg you. I am perfectly fine. Please, I’m okay.”
The message follows an outpouring of concern from fans after a series of videos circulated online, including a recent Instagram Live session by media personality, Daddy Freeze.
For those who don’t know, 2Face and Natasha on Monday left many in shock after an unexpected quarrel ensued during Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live session.
Daddy Freeze had been speaking with 2Face’s former management team when the singer suddenly joined the Live stream. Moments later, tension erupted. In the background, 2Face could be heard asking Natasha, “What is your problem?”
The argument quickly escalated, with Natasha attempting to grab the phone in the heat of the exchange. The chaotic moment forced the live session to end abruptly.
The drama comes on the heels of another viral video that surfaced earlier, showing 2Face seemingly being arrested in the UK. In the video available online, police officers were seen speaking with the singer outside what looked like a retail store before escorting him away in handcuffs.
In the midst of the drama, the Edo State House of Assembly on Tuesday summoned Natasha, who represents the Egor Constituency, to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee within one week over allegations of misconduct.
Speaking during plenary, Edo Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku said; “Hon. Natasha Irobosa has been summoned to appear before the Ethics and Privilege Committee of the Assembly due to her recent conduct which has been trending online.”
“This conduct drags the name of the House into the mud, and it is the responsibility of members of the Assembly to conduct themselves well.”
“This House has cerebral minds and educated people who have been dragged in the mud for too long by our colleague, Hon. Natasha. She has been trending on social media and television for the wrong reason.”
“The House has members who know what they are doing, and the attitude of our member has brought this House to disrepute, and we will not tolerate it.”
