Renowned Fuji icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has found himself in serious trouble after being blacklisted by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over an alleged security breach at the Abuja airport.
The NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, confirmed the development in Abuja, revealing that an official investigation into the incident is currently underway.
For those who missed the viral moment, the controversy began on Tuesday when a now-widespread video surfaced online, showing the legendary musician boarding a ValueJet flight from Abuja to Lagos but not without drama. In the clip, K1 De Ultimate is seen approaching the aircraft while clutching a golden flask of unknown contents.
Tensions rose when ground staff requested to inspect the flask, reportedly as part of routine security protocol. However, they were firmly rebuffed by the musician, who allegedly refused to comply. Eyewitnesses claimed he was seen sipping from the flask, and staff suspected it contained alcohol a substance prohibited on Nigerian commercial flights.
The situation escalated quickly. After being denied boarding, K1 allegedly became confrontational, leading to a scene that disrupted flight operations and triggered a security breach investigation by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
