Popular gospel singer, Busola Oke, widely known as Eleyele, has cried out to Nigerians for help, opening up about her painful struggles behind the scenes.
In a heart‑wrenching revelation, the singer confessed that depression and hardship pushed her to release a recent video that sparked concern among fans.
“I am depressed. I did that video because I was hungry. I don’t have food to eat. I’m owing a lot of debt. I don’t know what can happen to me tomorrow. I want to be free because I don’t want to owe any debt when I die. I’m heavily burdened,” she lamented.
Fighting back tears, she explained that the video was not for attention but a desperate attempt to reach out.
“I did that video to communicate with my fans because I was depressed. I just needed somebody to say, ‘I love you.’ My rent expired and I couldn’t pay. Sometimes I even pray to God to take my life if He doesn’t want to sustain me.”
The singer further revealed that her struggles date back to 2020, describing the period as one filled with silent battles too painful to share publicly.
“Since 2020, I have gone through so much that is difficult for me to talk about. I don’t even have a house to sleep in. I’ve been moving from place to place.”
Despite the storm, she acknowledged the unwavering support of her manager… “My manager has really tried for me. I have never seen someone like him before. He stood by me.”
Her emotional disclosure has since stirred reactions, prayers, and concern from fans and well‑wishers across the country.
