Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Idemili North for their support ahead of the November 8th governorship election.
Speaking passionately to a gathered crowd at the flag-off of the local government campaign in Nkpor, the Governor reflected on the resounding success the party experienced in the area during the last election cycle.
“We are here to ostensibly say thank you. In 2021, Idemili North gave us a decisive victory,” Soludo stated, emphasizing the crucial role the area has played in the party’s past successes.
During his address, the Governor highlighted a remarkable shift he has observed in Anambra State’s political landscape, noting, “Something phenomenal is happening in Anambra state where communities are sponsoring the campaigns by themselves. The people are taking over the campaign. It is the people’s movement” — a sentiment that resonated deeply with the enthusiastic crowd.
Governor Soludo took the opportunity to commend the stakeholders of Idemili North for their unwavering support, stating, “I appreciate the stakeholders of Idemili North. In all sectors, Anambra is rising.”
He also shared his vision for the future of the state, asserting, “Anambra is turning from a departure lounge to a destination,” indicating his commitment to transforming the state into a hub of economic and social prosperity.
He assured supporters that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is steadfast in its commitment to the conduct of free, fair, and credible elections, declaring that it should be, “One man, one vote.”
The Mayor of Idemili North, Engr. Stanley Nkwoka and Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Community Affairs, Mr. Asha Nnabuife emphasized the importance of community representation in the electoral process, noting that the individuals present at the gathering were drawn from the polling units which they said further highlights the engagement of ndị Idemili North in the state’s political landscape.
Various groups, including Solution Teachers, market vendors, beneficiaries of One Youth Two Skills, and Keke riders, appreciated Governor Soludo for his administration’s transformational efforts in sectors of the state economy.
