A dedicated Christian medical team recently carried out a successful outreach programme in Apana and Auchi, Edo State, from March 5 to 8. The initiative, organised by Peace Rural Missions, The Great Quest Reach-out Foundation, Jason’s Foundation, and Christ’s Heritage Ministry, delivered essential medical services and spiritual support to hundreds of residents within the communities.
The outreach offered life-changing surgeries, dental care, eye care, and medical consultations, alongside opportunities for spiritual growth.The team treated a total of 452 individuals, providing a comprehensive range of medical interventions.
Key highlights include:
- Surgeries: 49 surgeries were performed on 43 patients, including procedures such as myomectomy, appendectomy, and hernia and lipoma excisions. Patients expressed profound gratitude for the free, high-quality care.
- Dental Care: 22 extractions and 15 scaling and polishing procedures were completed, addressing significant dental health needs.
- Eye Care: Approximately 160 individuals received eye care, with 150 receiving eyeglasses and over 50 receiving treatment and counseling.
Referrals were made as needed.
Spiritual Impact: An inspiring 265 people made professions of faith, and local pastors and missionaries are providing ongoing counseling and follow-up.
