The families of Chief John and Chinwe Anya and Chief Afolabi and Dr. Olanrewaju Dixon on Saturday, the 25th of July, 2026 drew dignitaries from all walks of life to the Catholic Church of Presentation, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos during the holy matrimony of their children, Chiamaka Blessing and Olasubomi. It was indeed an exhilarating handshake as gaily decked guests in Igbo and traditional attires were filled the church.
Shortly after Chiamaka and Anuoluwapo were formally joined as man and wife by the officiating priest, Rev. Fr Panachy Ogbeide who incidentally was parish priest of Catholic of the Visitation , activities shifted to 10 Decrees Event Centre, Oregun, venue of the reception. It was a sight to behold as rich Igbo and Yoruba cultural displays blended to form a symphony of glitz and glamour.
Parishioners of Catholic of the Visitation, Festac Town, especially the CWO and 6.30am mass attendees graced the wedding and reception in their numbers in support of one of their own, the parents of the bride, the Anyas who are dedicated parishioners.
Among the dignitaries that attended the weeding were the sponsor, Chief ( Barrister) and Lady Charles Mbama. Other guests are Chief Clement Anyika(Captino), Kaliaozo of Nimo, Chief AJC Orizu, Onowu of Umudioka, High Chief Ben Amuta, Chief and Mrs Chukwudi Okoriji, Sir and Lady Charles Okoie, EnyiOha Akokwa, Chief Ingram Osigwe, Sir Pius Nwankwo and Chief Okey Nwaiwu.
Some of the CWO members of Catholic Church of the Visitation in attendance were Mrs Vivian Obi, Mrs Adaku Ezeugo, Mrs Angel Nikky, Mary Queen Obele, Mrs Uju Okoye, Mrs Lilian Mbama, Mrs Chidinma Onyiuke, Mrs Ginika Obidike, Mrs Sabina Ibe, Mrs Lauretta Obiedelu, Ejiroghene Iyeyemi, Mrs Stella Onyeyili among others.
