Popular Lagos preacher cum Senior Pastor of House On The Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin is hurt and has broken his silence on the allegation making the rounds suggesting his involvement in the illegal possession or use of firearms.
In a heartfelt statement shared across his official social media platforms on Sunday, June 8th, 2025 the respected cleric expressed deep sorrow over the claims, describing them as “baseless” and “deeply hurtful.”
He said; “I am hurt not just for myself, but for my family, congregation, and all who look up to me as a spiritual leader,” Pastor Adefarasin said. “These allegations go against everything I stand for and have taught for over three decades in ministry.”
The allegations, which began circulating earlier in the week on social media, accuse the pastor of either possessing or associating with firearms in a manner not consistent with Nigerian law. The origin of the rumors remains unclear, but they have gained traction online, prompting reactions from both supporters and critics.
Pastor Adefarasin firmly denied the accusations, calling them a “malicious attempt to distract from the work God has called me to do.”
He said; “For the record, I do not own, carry, or support the illegal possession of firearms. My life’s work has been centered around peace, spiritual growth, and community development.”
The famous pastor also urged the public to be cautious about the spread of misinformation, especially in an age where social media can easily amplify unverified reports.
Pastor Adefarasin called for prayers and calm, assuring his congregation and the general public that he has nothing to hide and will cooperate fully with any official inquiry should the need arise.
Meanwhile, the church also issued a separate statement, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and lawful conduct, adding that the matter is being reviewed by legal advisers.
As of now, no official charges have been filed, and authorities have not released any formal statement regarding the incident.
