Popular Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido, has revealed that he does not want his children to follow in his footsteps by pursuing careers in the entertainment industry.
He made this known during a recent interview when asked whether he would prefer his children to join the industry or work with their grandfather.
Davido responded; “Honestly, I’d rather they go and work with my dad. Every Christmas, he gathers all his grandchildren around him, and despite having everything multiple private jets and more, his true happiness comes from spending time with them.
“My father is single, and seeing the joy he derives from family made me realize that this is what life is really about. When I chose music, he didn’t support it at first, and that really affected me until he saw how serious I was. I wouldn’t want to put my kids through that.”
“Although, my daughter is already showing interest, she’s singing and dancing.”
