Popular celebrity singer, Segun Johnson, has left many people stunned with his revelation about what it now means to be considered a millionaire in Nigeria.
Speaking during a recent chat, the entertainer argued that, given the current economic situation, having ₦100 million does not necessarily make someone a millionaire by today’s standards.
According to him, anyone who does not have $1 million could be considered broke, despite having ₦100 million.
He said: “Back then in those days, if you had ₦30 million, you were actually a millionaire. In this present age, if you don’t have $1 million, you are broke; you are not a millionaire. That’s the truth.
“The fact that you have ₦100 million doesn’t make you a millionaire.
“But you might be a millionaire among people in Ojota, or probably people in Oworonshoki.”
