The Secretary to Isoko North Local Government, Sir Vote Augustine Umukoro, Esq, has been formally inducted as a Full Member (MCarb) of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb), marking a significant milestone in his professional career.
Umukoro received the prestigious certification during the Institute’s 2025 Annual Investiture and Awards Ceremony, held on November 28, 2025, at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The conferment was performed by the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of NICArb, Prof. Fabian Ajogwu, SAN, OFR, FCIArb, who decorated and formally welcomed him into the elite body of trained arbitrators.
According to data released at the ceremony, this year’s investiture witnessed a major expansion of the Institute’s membership base, with 1,016 inductees admitted as Associate Members (ACArb), 374 as Full Members (MCarb), and 25 elevated to the rank of Fellows (FCArb).
With his induction, Sir Vote Umukoro now joins the ranks of certified professional arbitrators in Nigeria, empowering him with enhanced expertise in dispute resolution processes consistent with global standards.
The honour is widely regarded as a boost not only to his personal credential portfolio but also to the broader Isoko North administrative structure, where his growing professional competence is expected to further strengthen governance and conflict-resolution mechanisms.
The event attracted prominent legal practitioners, arbitration experts, and public officials who commended the inductees for their dedication to broadening their professional horizons in service to society.
