KADIFF And Uganda’s PIFF Forge New Partnership, Sign MoU

The Kaduna International Film Festival (Nigeria) has signed an MoU with Pearl International Film Festival (Uganda) on 5th May, 2025.

Audu Kashim Israel, Executive Director, Kaduna International Film Festival and Vice Chairman, Nigerian Film Festivals Association who signed the MoU on behalf of KADIFF said the purpose of the MoU is to establish a framework for cooperation between the two festivals to support African cinema, promote cultural exchange, and foster mutual growth in the creative industry.

Audu who is currently not in Nigeria expressed joy about the signing of the MoU because in the past two editions of KADIFF including 2025 we have received highest number of entries from Uganda, hence KADIFF and PIFF partnership will strengthen African film industry ties through collaborative activities that include: Cross-festival nominations, Jury exchange programs, Joint awards and recognitions, Film screenings, Talent and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Moses Magezi, Founder, Pearl International Film Festival (Uganda) said both Uganda and Nigeria have a rich culture, the need for Africa to come together for growth , unity and process is key. This MoU will indeed strengthen African Cinema and beyond.
