The Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF), in partnership with the Korean Cultural Centre Abuja, hosted a special screening of “Scars,” a film directed by Williams Ameh, alongside an intensive workshop on directing, acting, and cinematography.
The workshop featured renowned industry professionals, with Paul Apel Papel leading the directing session, Williams Ameh facilitating the acting class, and Shalom Chiki handling cinematography.
Scars tells the compelling story of a teenage girl forced into marriage to repay her father’s debt. Determined to fight for her dreams and dignity, she confronts the harsh realities of tradition and silence within a patriarchal society, exposing its brutal human cost.
Dignitaries at the event included Prof. Ahmed Adamu, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Philomath University, Abuja; Senator Shehu Sani; Ana Flavia, Secretary at the Cuban Embassy; Her Excellency, Mrs. Odette Peterson-Thomas, Acting High Commissioner of the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago; and Mr. Jeon Ju-ho, Director of the Korean Cultural Centre Abuja, among other distinguished guests.
