Lagos Police Arrest Alleged Drug Kingpin, Eke Henry Ifeanyi In N7.8 Billion Bust

The Nigeria Police Force Zone 2 Command has busted a drug trafficking gang in Lagos and recovered suspected Canadian Loud worth about ₦7.8 billion. Several suspects were arrested, including the alleged gang leader, Eke Henry Ifeanyi.

The operation was carried out by the Special Protection Unit alongside police detectives after months of secret investigation and monitoring from the Zone 2 Headquarters.

Police officers later raided an apartment in Mende, Maryland, where the drugs were allegedly hidden.

According to AIG Olohundare Jimoh, the main suspect was arrested on May 19 after days of close monitoring, with support from IGP Olatunji Disu and other police teams.

He also revealed that the suspect allegedly offered a ₦500 million bribe to stop the operation, but the police rejected it immediately and recorded it as evidence for further investigation.

Police said the seized drugs have been secured while investigations continue to arrest other members of the gang.
