Recently, Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, got into a heated exchange with popular Nollywood actor, Odunlade Adekola over a video shared on social media.
The drama started when Odunlade posted a video of himself hugging Portable’s baby mama, Ashabi Simple, at an event, and captioned it: “Please, for God’s sake, hope you have taken permission from Portable before hugging me? Please go and inform, oo.”
The comment didn’t sit well with Portable, who reacted angrily on social media. He wrote, “Wetin you talk inside that video with Ashabi Simple? Please, I respect my home, and I don’t use it for movies. Why you go talk say she tell me before coming? Shey una no dey collect money for her hand ni?”
He went on to express frustration over being labeled as problematic, saying, “But why everybody dey talk say I get wahala? Make una dey talk good about me. Me self, I dey loyal, o. Loyalty pass juju.”
In response, Odunlade addressed Portable calmly, saying, “My brother, good evening. I’m just seeing this. I love you, and I think you know that. I can never disrespect you or your home. Your family is my family.”
Portable later softened his tone, replying, “I respect you, boss. I really appreciate you. God bless you.”
The exchange ended on a more peaceful note, with both men expressing mutual respect.
