It is no longer news that billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola’s daughter, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, was once engaged to British boxer, Ryan Taylor.
However, their relationship ended shortly after the engagement, and the reason for the split has remained unclear to many.
In a recent interview, Ryan Taylor shed light on the breakup, revealing that certain issues created distance between them, one of which, he claimed, was that DJ Cuppy “did not like Nigerians.”
According to him; “Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff.”
Reflecting on the relationship, Taylor said he learned valuable lessons from the experience. “Everything that happens, happens for a reason. Do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!” he said, adding, “I learned that money is not everything — but not having it is.”
For those who don’t know, Ryan Taylor proposed to DJ Cuppy in December 2022, shortly after they met — a move that surprised many Nigerians. However, their relationship reportedly ended by mid-2023.
