Popular Nigerian entertainer and hype man, MC Fish’s new partner, Gbemisola (Gbemi), has called out his estranged wife, actress Anita Joseph, accusing her of putting him in serious debt while trying to maintain her lifestyle.
Gbemi made the allegation in an open letter posted on her Instagram page, which she claimed was approved by MC Fish.
She wrote: “You get Odogwu, but na when you dey under Fish photoshoot you dey post to show levels (common), with the wedding ring you updated by your normal means.
“You are using someone else’s fan base, someone you don’t even like. You know what? There is no point responding since no one would believe me. I am done.
“We just think it is very unfair because, as his manager, I know how hard we are working, how much we are earning and how much of our sweat goes into the loans from his past marriage.
“So, if you are wondering why I am pained, this is why. Y’all shouldn’t be insulting Fish because, till tomorrow, he is still paying debts he incurred while trying to satisfy your status.
“As I said in my past post about ‘an old woman,’ it was for truth and love, and I have left the fight for the Lord. He has been doing a wonderful job so far.
“After all the pain you caused him, please just leave him alone and enjoy your audio money in peace.”
For those who don’t know. Anita Joseph and Fisayo Michael a.k.a MC Fish married in 2020, but their marriage ended in 2025 after a period of public speculation about problems in the relationship.
Anita confirmed the separation in December 2025, saying that her marriage was over, but she did not initially give detailed reasons.
In May 2026, MC Fish publicly addressed the breakup, alleging that infidelity on both sides contributed to the collapse of the marriage. He also said he had left their home months before Anita publicly announced the separation.
The situation later became more public after MC Fish made his relationship with Gbemi known. Gbemi denied allegations that she was responsible for the collapse of Anita and MC Fish’s marriage, saying their relationship began after MC Fish had become single.
The dispute escalated in 2026, with Anita reportedly issuing a cease-and-desist letter to Gbemi over alleged defamatory statements. Gbemi subsequently responded publicly to the legal threat.
As of September 2026, the controversy has continued, with Anita responding to recent comments involving her ex-husband and Gbemi.
