NCAC Backs 8th Edition Of Kaduna International Film Festival

The National council for arts and culture (NCAC) have endorsed the upcoming 8th Kaduna international film festival scheduled to hold from 26th to 30th August 2025 with the theme “Film for social change”.

The endorsement was made during the visit of the Executive Director Kaduna International Film Festival and Vice Chairman Nigerian Film Festivals Association, Audu Kashim Israel on Wednesday morning at the NCAC head office in Abuja.

Mr. Obi Asika, Director General National Council for Arts and Culture applauded Audu for the great work he is doing in northern Nigeria with the Kaduna international film festival. “We are happy to identify with the film festival, be assured of our maximum support for the festival and its activities as we look forward to attending the opening ceremony of the 8th KADIFF in August” Mr. Obi added.

The Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF) is an annual event that celebrates film and culture, showcasing the art of cinema and promoting cultural understanding. It features film screenings, masterclasses, exhibitions, workshops, and seminars, and includes an awards ceremony. The festival aims to provide a platform for filmmakers, foster collaboration, and contribute to the appreciation of diverse film cultures.

Audu expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Director General National council for arts and culture and management of NCAC for showing support to the Kaduna International Film Festival and its determination to promote and showcase our rich culture to the world.
