Famous Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has appealed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that he would not spray money on his fans again.
However, the singer urged his fans to open bank accounts so that he can make transfers instead.
Portable made the appeal in an Instagram live session on Tuesday April 16th, 2024.
He said; “I didn’t deface the Naira. I help a lot of people; after God na government, please forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money, no more spraying of money.”
“My fans, if I no longer spray money, after God na government, no more spraying of money.”
“If it’s about money, open bank accounts, and let’s make transfers.”
It would be recalled that a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State few days ago sentenced popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye a.k.a Bobrisky to six (6) month in prison for Naira mutilation offence.
Similarly, popular socialite, Cubana Chief Priest was arraigned before Justice Kehinde Ogundare on three counts bordering on abuse of naira by allegedly spraying and tampering with the nation’s currency at an event.
