Respected man of God and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has finally spoken out on the growing cases of kidnapping and terrorism in Nigeria after many people urged him to comment on the situation.
The revered preacher called on President Bola Tinubu’s government to give security chiefs a 90-day deadline to end terrorist activities in the country or step down from their positions.
Adeboye made the statement in a video shared on his X (formerly Twitter) page on Tuesday.
He said; “If I were asked to make suggestions, I would say quietly to our government, ‘Move fast and tell our security chiefs, get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign.’”
“Government should intensify efforts against individuals and groups providing financial and logistical support to terrorist organisations.”
“Security operations should not only target armed terrorists but also those sponsoring and facilitating their activities, regardless of their status or influence.”
“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists; they should eliminate their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be.”
Pastor Adeboye made the statement at a time when many Nigerians are worried about the growing insecurity in the country, especially following the recent kidnapping of school pupils and their teachers in Oyo State.
