Popular Nollywood actor-turned-preacher and Senior Pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, Jimmy Odukoya, has left many Nigerians dumbfounded after introducing his new wife, Pastor Mo Jasmine, to members of his congregation during Sunday service.

While addressing the congregation, Jimmy revealed that his first marriage had ended before he assumed leadership of the church in 2023, following the death of his father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

He said: “So, you know, ever since I became your pastor, I was doing this work of life alone. And you know that the Bible says it is not good. It said I will find somebody suitable.

“Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you for the first time, Pastor Mrs Odukoya.”

According to reports, Pastor Jimmy invited the founder of Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, and his wife, Olayide, to pray for and bless the union.

For those who don’t know, Jimmy Odukoya and Kemi got married in 2013 and had two children together. However, the circumstances surrounding the reported end of their marriage remain unknown.

Meanwhile, social media users have raised questions about his marital status, with some claiming that Jimmy is still legally married to Kemi. However, these claims remain unverified.

Some concerned Nigerians have also criticised Pastor Tunde Bakare for agreeing to pray for and bless the couple, arguing that, as a respected man of God, he should have prioritised reconciling Jimmy Odukoya with his first wife, Kemi, instead.
