Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, just shook the table with some pretty bold opinions about Igbo politicians and the internet is still buzzing.
In a recent interview, the legendary actor didn’t hold back. According to him, “an Igbo man is not a good politician” – and before you get triggered, he broke down why.
Edochie explained that politics is full of backstabbing and shady moves, and the average Igbo man just isn’t built for that kind of game. “The Igbo man can’t stomach political betrayal more than once,” he said. “If you burn him once, he’ll never let it happen again.”
Basically, trust is everything. And once that trust is broken, it’s game over. No second chances.
He added, “Once you show signs of being shady, an Igbo man will cut you off completely. They don’t forget, and they don’t play that treachery game twice.”
His comments have sparked a lot of controversy online, some people agree, others say it’s way more complicated. Either way, the OG just reminded everyone that politics in Nigeria? It’s not for the faint-hearted.
