Popular Hausa singer, Dauda Kahutu, widely known as Rarara, has taken a swipe at Afrobeats star, Davido over his decision to display the names of kidnapped schoolchildren and teachers from Oyo State during his performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown concert.
In a video making the rounds online, Rarara described the move as inappropriate and damaging to Nigeria’s image.
He said; “How can you promote Ansaru terrorists or insecurity-related issues to the whole world? How can you take a sensitive national security issue and project it to the world in a way that could damage the country’s image?”
“Anyone who campaigns with insecurity is insane because he does not fully understand what it entails.”
“It was during this delicate period that Davido chose to embarrass us on a global stage.”
