The senator representing Anambra South, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has dealt a heavy blow on his party, the Young Progressive Party (YPP) as he defects to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ubah disclosed this in his defection letter which was read on the floor of the Senate on Thursday, October 12th, 2023 by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
Ubah said he was defecting to the APC because of ‘irreconciliable differences’ in the YPP.
It is interesting to know that Ifeanyi Ubah won the senatorial election under the YPP in the February 25 general election.
