Former Nigerian lawmaker, Shehu Sani has made strong remarks about President Bola Tinubu, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Speaking in a recent interview, Sani claimed that there is no ideological difference between Obi, Obasanjo, Atiku, and Tinubu, arguing that they all operate from a similar political perspective. He also expressed confidence that Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election.
He said: “The support for Peter Obi is largely tribal; many of his supporters come from his ethnic group.
“If Obi becomes President of Nigeria today, nothing will change. Everything will remain the same.
“Peter Obi, Obasanjo, Atiku, and Tinubu are essentially the same; they share the same ideological outlook and way of thinking. Tinubu will win the 2027 election.
“When Buhari was in power, the North remained quiet while people were being killed and kidnapped, and insecurity was widespread.
“When I was in the Senate, whenever I spoke about killings and kidnappings affecting my people, the first opposition I faced was from Northern senators.”
