The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has congratulated the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, as he celebrates his 54th birthday today, 6th October 2026.
In a goodwill message signed by his
Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo celebrated the Speaker as a mature leader whose steady, principled, and result-oriented leadership of the State legislature keeps getting better with time.
Governor Soludo noted that under Rt. Hon. Udeze’s stewardship, the House of Assembly has remained a strong pillar of democratic governance, one that upholds the rule of law, promotes accountability and responds to the needs of the people. He commended the Speaker for his commitment to responsive lawmaking, his readiness to work with the Executive in the interest of the State, and his role in advancing laws and policies that support Anambra’s development agenda.
The Governor added that the harmonious relationship between the Executive and the Legislature has helped to create a stable environment for governance, and that the Speaker’s maturity, humility and sense of duty have been central to this.
“On this special day, I am proud to celebrate a worthy son of the land, whose service to the State is deeply appreciated. I thank him for his dedication and partnership, and I pray that God will grant him good health, wisdom and renewed strength as he continues to serve,” the Governor said.
Thus, Governor Soludo wished the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, a happy birthday celebration with many more years of a healthy, productive, happy life.
