Strong Warning To Violence And Arbitrary Security Harassment

By Mazi Nnamdi Iroegbu

We have watched with grave concern the reports of Gov. Hyacinth Alia’s alleged thugs and hired elements blocking the NDC Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, from entering Benue State. This is not politics, it is intimidation, suppression, and the attempted strangulation of democratic rights.

We declare without equivocation that violence and voter suppression will not decide Nigeria’s future. They only reveal panic. When leaders resort to thuggery—especially against a lawful candidate—it exposes fear of the people’s mandate, not strength of character.

APC PANIC WON’T STOP THE PEOPLE’S MANDATE

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC may boast of power, numbers, and “influence,” but the reality is getting clearer by the day: the signs of APC’s looming loss in 2027 are becoming undeniable. The more they block, harass, and intimidate, the more Nigerians understand that the people’s decision is already forming.

NO MONOPOLY OF VIOLENCE

To those stoking chaos and treating the state as their private property: let this be known—no one has a monopoly of violence. Those who hide behind uniforms, party agents, or armed gangs will answer for their actions. We are watching, we are recording, and we will not be cowed.

NIGERIA BELONGS TO ALL NIGERIAN

Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians. Nobody is more Nigerian than any Nigerian. Every citizen—every candidate, every voter—has the right to freedom of movement, political participation, and democratic expression.

WE WILL NEVER BE INTIMIDATED

We shall never be intimidated. We shall never be silenced. Nigerians will continue to demand credible elections, equal rights, and peaceful democracy. If APC thugs want confrontation, they will meet the resolve of the people because the democratic struggle is bigger than any individual, any party, or any hired violence.

This is a warning to violence merchants: stop now, or face the consequences of your actions. Benue and the entire nation will not be held hostage by fear.
