I am not a fan of Primate Ayodele, the man everyone knows as a controversial prophet who wears a cassock and a small cap on his head during church service.
He always has my attention whenever he prophecies because it’s impossible for anyone not to see his videos, but I’m not someone who can say I like him or his style of prophecy. I just always listen to his prophecies, not because of my love for him but because I intend to criticise him whenever he fails.
One of his videos that I have kept close to my heart, not because it is dear to me, but I find it worthy of being used as a good material for criticism, was the one that went viral on his social media page in July 2025. He had said in the video that President Tinubu should be careful not to miss his steps or fall publicly.
Let me quote what he said: “There is a need for prayers for Tinubu, and I don’t want Tinubu to miss his leg so that he will not fall”.
In this particular video, which I will share the link to later, he mentioned some other prophecies about Obasanjo, Abdulsalam, and some African countries, but what interested me most was the one he said about Tinubu missing his steps and falling.
I won’t lie to you. I laughed when I saw the video because how is it possible that a President, heavily guarded by security operatives from the front, back, sideways would miss his leg to the extent of falling on the ground? It’s not possible for it to happen.
I have strategically planned how I would call Primate Ayodele out for giving a fake prophecy about Tinubu missing his steps and falling down till yesterday, 27th of January, 2026, quite unfortunate!
Just in the afternoon, while surfing the internet, I saw a video of my dear President during his reception in Turkey, missing his steps and eventually falling; I saw how men tried to lift him up from the ground, and my heart suddenly skipped a beat.
Initially, I was in denial, I mean, it’s an age where people manufacture anything with Artificial intelligence(AI); I have seen several of Tinubu’s video throwing blow with Donald Trump, I have seen videos of Tinubu dancing; all products of AI so I intended to tag this particular video too as AI, I had even concluded already till the presidency confirmed my fears.
The presidency confirmed that President Tinubu indeed tripped and fell, but blamed it on the carpet, which, according to them, was not well placed. I was very sad, I won’t lie, not really because the president fell but because I just lost another opportunity of calling out Primate Ayodele.
This is the second time something like this has happened; during the last AFCON, he said Ademola Lookman would not help the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the tournament. As a learned person, I knew that ‘help’ is only used when all hope has been lost so I didn’t mind the goals Lukman scored earlier in the tournament because even without them, we would still qualify in those stages, I was waiting for that moment Lukman would be the one to score our winning goal like in the case of Senegal where Sadio Mane’s goal led them to the final; it was the only goal of the night; I expected such situation from Lookman but it never came.
I had planned that immediately after the tournament, I would drag Primate Ayodele like a generator for the prophecy, but that opportunity didn’t come, and just yesterday, I lost another opportunity again.
Well, I will keep on waiting till I get the perfect time to make my wish come true. Till then, may God bless us all.
