Famous Nigerian comedians, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and his colleague-turned-lover, Jarvis (Jadrolita), appear to be experiencing a rough patch in their relationship.
Recently, the lovebirds stirred controversy on social media following another public confrontation.
In an emotional outburst, Jarvis, visibly in tears, accused Peller of making hurtful remarks whenever she mentioned her desire to find her biological father.
“Any time I talk about wanting to find my father, Peller would insinuate issues of incest, which is deeply painful,” she lamented.
She continued; “I told him I met some people concerning my dad, and he said, ‘Anything that would make you see your dad, I will not love you again.’ I realized he was serious. He even talked about what fathers and daughters supposedly do.”
“Immediately after that, I broke down. I have emotions too. If you want to marry someone, shouldn’t you want to know where she actually comes from? I always talk about my grandma, but he never seems to understand.”
Jarvis further described Peller as overprotective, saying he often dismisses her whenever she tries to discuss sensitive matters.
“Why would you say something like that without remorse? Anytime I want to share something delicate, he doesn’t take me seriously.“
“About my dad, someone I’ve never met, someone I still long to see. I don’t have my father’s love. But I feel that if I did, Peller wouldn’t treat me the way he does.”
