Famous Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington has taken a swipe at President Bola Tinubu over his re-election bid, warning that a second term for Tinubu would be “hell fire” for Nigerians.
Darlington, while assessing the President’s performance, argued that Tinubu is not fit to seek re-election. The singer made the remarks in a video shared on his Instagram page on Wednesday.
He said: “You are here breaking your neck to become the next President of Nigeria, but you are not qualified to be President again. From your first term, we already know that your second term is going to be hell fire.
“When you came into office in 2023, the first thing you did was remove the fuel subsidy, knowing fully well that everything about Nigerian life is tied to petroleum.
“You gave those in the oil sector thousands of reasons to inflate fuel prices, knowing fully well that Nigerians are naturally greedy. Just tell me, what qualifies you for a second term?
“You are not qualified again. You don’t know the job. You haven’t done anything about the rising insecurity across Nigeria.”
