5th Coronation Anniversary: Keyamo Hails Olu Of Warri, Atuwatse III For Promoting Peace

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Chief Festus Keyamo, has commended the Olu of Warri Kingdom, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, for his sustained efforts to promote peace, unity and development in the Warri metropolis.

Keyamo, who congratulated the monarch on his fifth coronation anniversary, said the Olu had, in the five years of his reign, demonstrated remarkable commitment to the peace, stability and progress of the Warri Kingdom and its people.

Represented at the anniversary celebration by the Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Dr Maurice Ojoede, the minister specifically praised the monarch’s recent peace overtures to neighbouring kingdoms.

He described the initiative as timely and necessary, stressing that harmonious relations among traditional institutions and communities were critical to sustaining peace and creating an environment conducive to development.

Keyamo said the Olu’s efforts had further demonstrated the important role traditional rulers could play in resolving differences, building bridges and promoting peaceful coexistence.

He urged Ogiame Atuwatse III to remain committed to his peace-building efforts, assuring him of his support and goodwill as he continues to provide leadership for the kingdom.

The minister was among an array of dignitaries who attended the fifth coronation anniversary celebration, including Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori; Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas; Minister of Culture, Art and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; traditional rulers, political leaders and other prominent Nigerians.

The celebration also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to acknowledge the Olu’s contributions to peace, cultural renewal and development since his ascension to the throne.

The monarch’s peace initiatives, particularly his engagements with neighbouring traditional institutions, have continued to attract commendation from political leaders and stakeholders, who see peaceful coexistence as essential to unlocking the economic and social potential of the Warri metropolis.

Ogiame Atuwatse III ascended the throne five years ago and has since continued to pursue initiatives aimed at strengthening the traditional institution, preserving the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage and promoting unity and development among his people.
