Popular social media critic, Vincent Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan has given an insight into his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
VDM as VeryDarkMan is simply called, was arrested on Friday, May 2nd, 2025 following a visit to one of the branches of GTBank in Abuja.
His sudden detention sparked outrage across social media, prompting widespread protests from fans, supporters, and several Nigerian celebrities demanding his release.
Be that as it may, VeryDarkMan, upon his release on Wednesday evening, revealed that the authorities suspected him of involvement in money laundering.
He said; “They think I am into money laundering, how would they put money laundering for person wey no get money? I have done so many charities, and them they wonder how. They don’t know that I use debt for charity. Anyway, we are outside, with my lawyer, of course.”
It is interesting to know that VeryDarkMan spent five days in the EFCC custody.
