Prominent boxing show, Chaos in the Ring, returns to Lagos on October 1, with a line-up that pits celebrities taking on each other in the ring, alongside professional boxing bouts. The event will be broadcast live on SuperSport on DStv from 6:30pm.
The event will feature a mix of celebrity and professional bouts, led by the clash between internet personalities Carter Efe and Speed Darlington, who will settle their rivalry in the ring.
Also on the celebrity card, former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna will face actress Nkechi Blessing in a special women’s bout. The contest follows the growing attention around the pair and adds another entertainment angle to the boxing programme.
The professional headline bout pits Nigerian cruiserweight Godday “Zodsolo” Appah against Ghanaian-born British boxer Seth “Freezy Macbones” Gyimah. Appah, who holds the WBO Africa title, is set to defend his belt against Gyimah as part of the October 1 card.
The event is part of the Chaos in the Ring series promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions and takes place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
