EPL Double-Header Anchors Weekend Football On DStv, GOtv

The Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 are back in domestic action this weekend following the international break, with several title contenders and European hopefuls facing important tests.

Liverpool host unbeaten Man City in the Premier League, while Real Madrid and Barcelona also face challenging fixtures in Spain. There is plenty more action across Italy and France as the European club season gathers pace.

United-Spurs, Liverpool-Man City Set for Big Premier League Tests

The Premier League resumes after the international break with two major clashes leading the weekend. Man United host Tottenham on Saturday at 5:30pm, with both sides looking to change the direction of difficult campaigns, while Liverpool face unbeaten Man City at Anfield on Sunday at 4:30pm.

Earlier on Saturday, Arsenal host Leeds United at 12:30pm, looking to respond after their 3-0 defeat to Brighton, while Chelsea welcome Bournemouth at 3pm. Arsenal dropped their first points of the season before the break, while Chelsea have lost two of their last three and Bournemouth are still searching for their first league win.

Liverpool remain unbeaten but have won just two of their five matches, while City have a perfect record and sit top after a 5-3 win over Sunderland.

Atlético, Madrid and Barcelona Lead La Liga Action

Atlético Madrid travel to Alavés on Saturday at 3:15pm, looking to keep pace with leaders Barcelona, before Barcelona host Getafe at 5:30pm. Barcelona have won all seven league matches and scored 31 goals, opening up a five-point lead over Atlético.

Real Madrid then host Villarreal at 8pm, with Madrid fourth on 15 points and looking to close the gap ahead of El Clásico later this month.

Roma, Inter and Milan Lead Key Serie A Tests

Serie A serves up a competitive weekend, with leaders Roma travelling to Como on Sunday at 11:30am in one of the round’s most intriguing fixtures. Roma sit top after five matches, while Como have also made a strong start with 10 points.

Inter host Parma at 5pm on Saturday, followed by Napoli’s clash with Frosinone at 7:45pm. On Sunday, Milan travel to Sassuolo at 5pm, while Juventus visit Cagliari at 7:45pm.

PSG, Monaco Lead Ligue 1 Weekend Action 

Ligue 1 action begins on Friday as Lens host Lyon at 7:45pm, before defending champions PSG welcome Le Mans and Monaco host Toulouse on Saturday at 7:45pm.

Monaco are unbeaten and sit top with 13 points from five matches, while PSG will look to close the gap after their strong Le Classique victory. Both matches kick off at the same time, with the defending champions looking to keep pace with the early leaders.
