The internet has been agog after Nigerian music star, 2face Idibia’s wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia reportedly unfollowed her husband on Instagram, thereby sparking rumours that there is a crack in their marriage.
Be that as it may, reacting to the rumour spreading like wild harmattan fire, Annie Idibia, in a statement signed by Sarah Williams-Konha on behalf of her management, said;
“It has come to our attention that news making the rounds on several social media platforms and blogs suggests that Annie adibia unfollowed her husband, Tuface Idibia on Instagram, and that this points to cracks in their relationship.”
“To this end, we would like to make the following clear;
- Annie, like many other users of Instagram, has noticed an inexplicable decline in following and this situation has been ongoing for several months
- That several accounts have been unfollowed by her account without any expplanation.
- That at no time did Annie intentionally unfolllow Tuface
“With regard the suggestion of a fracture in the relationship, we want to make it clear that Annie and Tuface remain committed to their marriage and the care of their children.”
“The couple would appreciate it if the general public desists from peddling rumors as they are undeniably detrimental to the public profile of both Annie and Tuface and borders on slander.”
“We advise any and all persons and outlets spreading rumors to retract all publications with regard the Instagram situation and the purported state of Annie’s relationship status.”
“We will observe the situation and are willing to take legal action against perpetrators of any falsehood designed to tarnish the image of Annie Idibia.”
