Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is reportedly battling cancer, according to a viral video shared by his daughter.
In the video, the actor’s daughter appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to help her father access the medical treatment he urgently needs. She clarified that the family is not primarily seeking financial assistance but is looking for someone or an institution capable of providing the actor with the appropriate cancer treatment.
Speaking emotionally, she said: “I am here to ask for help for my daddy. He has cancer, and it is really, really bad. The hospitals are refusing to treat him. At least, please, give this man a chance.
“We are not here to ask for money. Nobody is asking for money. But please, if you know somebody who knows somebody who can help, please reach out. This man has a strong will to live. If you see him, you wouldn’t even know that something is seriously wrong with him. It only started showing recently; we didn’t even know until about three weeks ago.
“So, please, I am begging you. If you know somebody who knows somebody who is willing to treat him, we are willing to try anything. Please, we are not asking for money.
“My big uncle has helped us greatly. He has been of tremendous support, and nobody even knew he would show up for us this way. He is willing to do anything. Please, if you know somebody who knows somebody who is willing to treat him, we will really appreciate it. I can’t watch my daddy die.”
