Bet, many don’t know that Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo has become a politician and he is contesting for a seat at the parliament in the coming general election in Ghana.
The actor who want to represent his people, Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency is contesting on the platform of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dumelo, throwing light on why he wants to become a member of the Parliament, he said; “My Parliamentary bid is a calling from the people to make lives better in and out of my society.”
“My people beckoned on me to avail myself to be voted as their representative and Member of Parliament (MP). Though I don’t have to be in the Parliament to make an impact on the people but I need the position to be able to influence policy frameworks that will make life better for my constituency.”
“I chose to go to Parliament so that we can make laws because that will help me represent my people better.”
