The internet is abuzz following the arrest of Ann, the best friend of Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, allegedly at the instigation of billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko, amid the ongoing dispute between the estranged couple.
Ann was reportedly arrested in Lagos State on Monday, January 12, 2026, by officers from the Ajah Police Division.
Regina’s elder brother, Sammy, disclosed the development in a video shared on his Instagram page.
According to Sammy, the police arrived with a court order authorizing Ann’s detention over allegations of conspiracy, assault, and theft.
He, however, dismissed the claims, stressing that Ann had never visited Senator Nwoko’s residence.
Expressing frustration, Sammy said, “There was never a time Ann was at Ned’s house. So how can there be a court order to detain her for conspiracy and theft? Omo, Nigeria has failed us.”
