Famous Nollywood-Hausa (Kannywood) actress, Samha Inuwa is in trouble as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested and detained her over alleged misuse of the Naira.
Inuwa was taken into custody by operatives of the EFCC’s Kano Zonal Directorate on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Her arrest followed the circulation of a viral video on social media showing her allegedly using Naira notes to wipe mucus from her nose.
The EFCC, through its Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed that the video prompted swift action by the Commission.
Oyewale said; “EFCC operatives tracked the actress after the video went viral and subsequently arrested her for questioning in connection with the alleged currency mutilation.”
“Inuwa is currently being detained at the Commission’s facility as investigations continue.”
“Inuwa will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.”
